The Art Foundation classes made leaf landscapes for the fall season. This project mainly focuses on the usage of organic shapes and implying texture.
The students use autumn-colored watercolor paint to marble the paper. While the paper is wet, crinkled plastic wrap makes a leaf-like texture.
The students then stamp real leaves on the colored paper and cut out those leaf shapes. For the background the students use blue watercolor and gradient it.
While wet, salt is sprinkled on the background paper for more texture.
