The FFA petting zoo has been held for over 15 years by the FFA classes. The animals are brought in by the FFA students as a part of their SAE, or ‘Supervised Agriculture Experience.’ The animals that were brought in were goats, chickens, rabbits, a cow, and a camel.
The crafts the elementary students had included gluing cotton balls on the rims of paper plates they put on their heads to be a sheep. This craft was created by the AG Day committee. High school students in the FFA classes were able to drive their tractors to the school with permission. The FFA Alumni covered the costs of the AG Day events and activities. Organizing this took 3 days.
