In Survey of American Literature I, students were assigned a writing piece to use the 10 criticisms they’ve been using all semester. To break away from the traditional American literature, students analyzed common fairytales, coming up with themes and finding the numerous criticisms hidden within the story. Along with the writing assignment, students presented their findings to the class.
