While in high school, Mrs. Lybarger was extremely active in school activities. She played basketball and softball, ran track and cross country, and was a member of the National Honor Society.
Not knowing exactly what she wanted to do after high school, Mrs. Lybarger attended The Ohio State University majoring in accounting. She then started into the business world to make good use of her math skills. After her son was diagnosed with Dyslexia, she saw that help was needed by students and decided to pivot her unfulfilling career. Mrs. Lybarger then went back to school at the Mount Vernon Nazarene University to obtain both her bachelors and masters degrees in education.
When Mrs. Lybarger is not teaching, she can be found with her family. The Lybargers enjoy being outdoors together, whether it’s camping, kayaking, or traveling to somewhere new.
One of the more favored destinations Mrs. Lybarger has traveled to is Hawaii. She says she enjoyed the snorkeling excursions the trip had to offer.
High on her bucket list is to experience an African Safari as well as visit all of the 50 states with her husband. She does make it a point not to revisit a destination more than once, though.
Mrs. Lybarger also adores spending time with her 3, soon to be 4, grandchildren which is exactly what she would be doing if she was not teaching.
She has been teaching for a total of 19 years, but here in the district for 11 years. We want to thank her for her dedication to every student she meets.
