Mrs. K has been teaching for 34 years, 19 of which at Fredericktown. She decided that she wanted to be a teacher when she was in high school at fredericktown. She wanted to help people and enjoyed watching children learn and grow.
Mrs. K is ordained; she has performed 7 weddings. She has performed weddings in Kentucky and in Florida. She has also performed weddings for her nephew, cousin, and her son.
Mrs. K always wanted to go to New Zealand. Her sister in law was born there and she still has relatives in New Zealand.
Mrs. K enjoys nature, traveling, and reading books. Her favorite types of books are mystery and child literature. She also enjoys going on hikes, camping, concerts, and sporting events.
If Mrs. K wasn’t a teacher; she would be working at a children’s hospital. She would want to help at the NICU. She would read or hold the babies when their parents wouldn’t be able to.
In highschool Mrs. K played basketball and volleyball. She was also a class officer in the student council.
When she was younger Mrs. K went to the junior olympics.
Mrs. K went to college at Ohio State University. She majored in early childhood education. She is certified to teach kindergarten through 8th grade.
Teachers- Don’t stress about the small stuff or classroom decorations. Your students won’t remember your decorations, they will remember how you made them feel. Laugh and have fun each day. Take care of yourself and your family.
Students- Teachers are here to help you and want you to do your best. Listen, think, be kind and enjoy your school years. High School is a teeny tiny piece of your life that goes by in a flash, have fun!
