January 24th, the Junior class raised $270 from their Lobster Fundraiser at the Danville basketball game. Attendees had a chance to win a live lobster.
Four people won a lobster that night. Bransyn Lang, Dick Yarman, Amy Seward, and Waylon Metcalfe.
Bransyn Lang had cooked lobster before. He came to watch the game and enter the raffle. However he has no special recipe for the lobster.
Dick Yarman has cooked lobster before. He originally came just to see the game. He does not have any special recipes for his lobster.
Amy Seward won two lobsters. She has cooked lobster before. She stated, “I’ll cook it tomorrow, I’ll make lobster rolls.”
The last winner was 9 year old Waylon Metcalfe. He said his only experience with lobster was eating them at Red Lobster. He stated “I’ll give it to my mom and make her do something.”
To promote the fund-raiser, Student Council President Caitlin Roddy wore a lobster costume while she “supervised” the lobsters.
