Close to 50 high schoolers participated in Solo and Ensemble, a festival where students from any school can go perform in front of a judge and get a rating of I-V, with I being the best. The festival was held on February 1.
Solo and Ensemble gives musicians the opportunity to improve because they are the ones responsible for the performance. Professional musicians give the final critiques.
Out of 21 band and choir events, the Freddies ended with 9 Superior (I) ratings, 10 Excellent (II) ratings, and 1 Good (III) rating.
