The Ohio University Jazz Band presented a free concert in the Middle/Highschool commons on January 29. This was their final stop on their 2025 tour to schools around the state, a great opportunity to relax in the middle of our first full week back to school.
Seven of our FHS band members joined the OU Jazz Band. The students were Kara Fields, Cassie Fisher, Ellie Kershner, Patrick McGuckin, Pilar Payne, Wyatt Payne, and Madison Shade.
This was special for our band because we do not currently have a jazz ensemble program. These students went above and beyond to try something completely new to them.
