Freddies celebrated their seniors at the last game of the regular season, February 15th. the Freddies hosted the Mansfield Christian Flames It was also senior night for Bradyn Clevenger, the only senior on the basketball team that has duked it out since he was 5 or 6 years old. Senior night also featured the cheerleaders, Madisyn Copley, Tori Billings, Alexa Hammond, and Caroline Reiss, and Ellie Dilgard.
The Freddies hosted the Mansfield Christian Flames. The year prior, the Freddies lost to the Flames 84-43, a sizable loss. So this year, Fredericktown came into the game hungry for revenge.
At the start of the game, Freddies took the lead and never looked back, staying in front the whole game. Bradyn Clevenger had an outstanding game, almost having a double double on his senior night. He contributed 12 points and 9 rebounds.
The team also celebrated their KMAC title by doing the traditional “cutting down of the net” by players, ball boys, and coaches. With the regular season done, Freddies had a winning season going 17-5.
They will host their 1st tournament game against a conference foe, the Mount Gilead Indians, on Saturday February 22nd.
