The concert bands and percussion ensemble held their annual spring concerts on March 12th honoring Music in our Schools Month.
The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands started everything out by performing the pieces they have been working on since January. The pieces played were lively and full of emotion.
During the high school concert, the band played “Big Top Melody Shop,” “Brooklyn Air,” as well as “Dark Heart.” All three of the songs will be played again at the OMEA large group contest on Friday evening.
This is the second year that the band is returning back to large group contests since Covid years. Last year, they scored a II in class C, and are hoping for the same score if not better this year.
