The Drama Club’s most recent play, Clue, was a big hit. For Opening Night, around 150 people came, requiring two extra rows of seating. Each night the numbers continued to grow. The crowd hasn’t been that full since Beauty and the Beast.
Besides the elaborate changing set, Clue was very challenging for everyone involved. The actors also had to change their characters’ personalities each night to match with the ending.
For Opening Night, Scarlett and Yvette were the murderers so they had to come off more serious and suspicious compared to the other nights where they could be more flirty and scared.
The second night Mrs. Peacock was the murderer so she acted sinister unlike Night 3 where she was told to act bubbly and “blonde”.
For the stage crew, this show was especially hard. This was their first time doing anything with constantly rotating pieces. They had to time everything perfectly while being of the actors while moving the set. Before each show they set out real food and drinks. Afterwards, they stayed late to clean up.
