The middle and high school choirs recently performed their Spring choir showcase. The themes of the shows were Misfits for the middle school, and Throwbacks for the high school.
March is Music in Our Schools Month, so all of the music programs have their Spring concerts in March.
Chorus performed “Wake Me Up” by Avicii, Select Choir performed “Valentine” by Train, and both choirs performed a song of the seniors’ choice, which was “Sing of the Times,” by Harry Styles. Finally, both choirs performed “Streaming Sitcoms,” which was a mash-up of the “Big Bang Theory Theme,” “Everywhere You Look,” by Jeff Franklin, and “I’ll Be There for You,” by The Rembrants.
The concert also honored their 3rd year members and seniors, giving 3rd years their varsity letter and sharing the senior’s favorite memories from choir, underclassmen’s messages for them, and giving them a certificate and a umbrella to use in the final song.
