Last week in Chemistry, students made aluminum foil “moles”. The objective was to get the foil animal to be as close as possible to the weight of an aluminum mole (which is 26.98 grams).
In Chemistry, a ‘mole’ is a standard scientific unit, typically used for measuring large amounts of small entities, like molecules, atoms, or other particles. A mole is a convenient way to express amounts of reactants and amounts of products of chemical reactions.
