Mrs. Booth has been teaching for a total of 20 years, 18 of them at Fredericktown. She knew she wanted to be a teacher while working for the Knox County Juvenile Court as a Probation Officer. Being around youth re-sparked her interest to want to become a teacher.
Being a teacher is a family tradition. Many of her family members have been or are currently involved in public education. Her advice to new teachers and students is to remain calm at all times.
Mrs. Booth decided to teach the subject of physical science and astronomy because she already had science credits/courses from a previous interest. A co-worker also influenced her.
Mrs. Booth also took acting classes. She loves singing but thinks she is too loud to have any hidden skills or talents. Everyone already knows them.
Mrs. Booth enjoys watching sports, mainly Cleveland, spending time with her family and traveling during her free time.
During the summer she likes to go to the beach, but if she could go anywhere in the world she would, travel to Key West, Florida. Relaxing is a big thing she likes to do and finds it very calming.
Mrs. Booth attended high school at Mount Vernon. She played basketball, tennis, and softball. Mrs. Booth went to college at Ashland University, Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville, and Mt. Vernon Nazarene University.
