Gavin Toombs, just being in his junior year, has already achieved 1000 career points.
Gavin felt blessed and grateful when he hit his 1000 point.
Gavin stated, “Family, coaches, and teammates played a big part with my getting it. 1000 points is an individual goal, but you need to have amazing teammates like I do to accomplish it.”
Gavin started playing basketball all the way back in first grade. The major reason he stayed with it for so long was because of his dad. His father was an amazing basketball player and one of Gavin’s coaches growing up. Gavin also said that he just had a sort of love for the game.
Gavin’s basketball pre-game routine is to drink an energy drink a couple of hours before the game and to eat Skittles right before the start time.
Gavin also participates in track and football.
As of now, Gavin plans to continue playing either football or basketball in college while majoring in business or sports management.
