The Bexley Lions hosted the Fredericktown Freddies for the first time in both programs history. With Freddies being on a losing streak and having the disadvantage of being a Division 5 school, while Bexley is a Division 3 school, Freddies came to play hungry for their first win of the season.
With a slow start in the first inning being down 1-0, Fredericktown bounced back in the 2nd scoring 3 runs, taking the lead. For the next 3 innings, Freddies extended the lead to 7 with pitcher Vince Lavin letting up zero runs in those, making the score in the 5th, 8-1.
In the bottom of the 6th inning, Bexley Lions extended their score to 3, with Kaine Sheriff coming in to get the three outs we needed on the mound.
By the 7th Inning Freddies were close to tasting victory, with a steady lead and Brode Davis coming in from the bullpen to close the game with three outs remaining. On this past sunny Saturday Freddies beat the Bexley Lions with a final score of 10-3.
