Ashley Mull is a part of the lunch staff. Mull has been here for 10 years, 5 in the kitchen, and the other 5 being an aide.
If there is any food leftover at the end of the day, they will save it and reheat it at the end of the week. They do this because they don’t want to waste the food.
Mull gives out extras at the end of the lunch day. But it only goes to the high school because they don’t want to give the middle school some and then run out for high school.
Mull and the others have to figure out how much food to make for both middle and high schoolers. Just in case, they make extra so they make sure they have enough.
Mull said that the timing is fairly easy. They cook everything first thing in the morning, then serve it to the middle school. Then in the middle of high school and middle school they just keep the food warm. Then serve it to the high school.
If they run out of food for the high school, Mull hurries up and makes food. Sometimes it is hard because the students have to wait 10 to 15 minutes.
Mull had started working here when her youngest kids started school. She applied to see if anything was available that worked with her kids’ schedule. Mull ended up really liking it here so she stayed.
