Stuart Semerar, part of the custodian staff at FLS. He started here about 30 years ago in the bus garage
One of Stu’s craziest stories on the job from a decade ago is that he got a call at 4 in the morning to go to the old high school because some kids somehow put a porta potty on the roof. Stu had to get it down. Thankfully it was empty.
This past summer.Stu got the opportunity to do outside maintenance when Beheeler retired. He works up in the administration building and the field house, plus he plows snow and cuts grass. Stu is a man of many talents because on top of that, he’s still doing inside maintenance.
Stu worked part time as a custodian in the old 3-story middle school on Taylor Street. Then he worked at the old high school on Columbus Road. Still working as a custodian, Stu then came here to the new school once it was completed.
Stu is very proud of the school and how well he maintains it. He will always be happy to be a custodian. Although his least favorite thing to clean up is puke.
Stu got his first job at the bus garage from Randy Fisher. They had worked together for years starting at Fredericktown Chevrolet. Randy was at Stu’s wedding. He offered him a job at the bus garage after they both left Fredericktown Chevrolet.
Stu graduated from Lynnhurst, Ohio. Although both of his kids went to Fredericktown, Sarah and Austin.
